ASUS announces Eee Pad MeMO ME370T and new Transformer Prime TF700T | Android Central
People seemed a little freaked out that ASUS is already announcing a souped up version of the Transformer Prime (the TF700T), considering most people having received their TF201s yet (according to Amazon I’m supposed to get mine today!). I think its cool, I love the constant innovation and it probably will be necessary if all the rumors are true of an iPad3 with a “retina” display being announced shortly. The current Transformer Prime’s 1280 x 800 is a nice bump over my iPad2’s resolution but the new 1920 x 1200 sounds fantastic. There’s also talk of the new case design helping with GPS and WiFi reception, which I can’t comment on yet so we’ll have to see how big an issue that really is with the TF201 (I’m not that concerned about the GPS but decent WiFi reception is a must). I look at having a TF201 now as an opportunity to test out Android 4.0 on a tablet and see if I really need that extra resolution for $100 or not. If I decide I do, its great that the current keyboard dock will work with the 700 as well.
